At the Government meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, 9 technical regulations were developed, developed by the State Energy Efficiency, on ecodesign for vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, digital TV receivers, water pumps, electric motors, fans, transformers, circulating pumps, external power supplies.

“With the help of these technical regulations, we implement the 125th EU Directive and implement an important European instrument – eco-design of energy consumer products,” said Sergey Savchuk, Chairman of the State Energy Efficiency.

Ecodesign defines the requirements for energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of various household appliances and other appliances.

From now on, the introduction of the eco-design system in Ukraine will gradually expel the most energy-intensive products from circulation and in the future prevent them from appearing on the market.

“However, Ukrainians will be able to choose, buy and use energy-efficient equipment. For example, the use of household appliances class A and above allows you to save on electricity bills, which positively affects the budget of the family “, – commented Sergei Savchuk.
