The day of workers of standardization and metrology is a professional holiday, which is celebrated in Ukraine annually on 10 October. The decree on the establishment of the holiday was signed in 2002 by the President of Ukraine in honor of the 101st anniversary of the opening of Dmitry Mendeleev in Kharkov, the first in Ukraine testing tent for reconciliation and branding of trade measures and weights.
