Earth Day

Earth DayToday, the world celebrates Earth Day. The purpose of the holiday is to attract the attention of the society to the problems of ecology, the call to care for nature. It is believed that today everyone has to do something useful for the Earth: to clear a clogged area, or to plant a tree.

Earth Day is a symbol of unity, the realization that only through concerted effort can humanity deal with global environmental and existing social problems.

The first “one-off” action on this day was held in 1970 in the United States. The organizers succeeded in its success, and since then the celebration has become regular.

Earth Day is also celebrated on the day of the Spring Equinox on March 20-21 (UN initiative).
